I am overjoyed to announce that Casey M. G. Photography is officially going to be a part of Lancaster's own Best Wedding Showcase in January! I can hardly wait to be part of such an awesome event! One more small step in making my dreams come true. :)

I've been keeping busy with lots of senior sessions and editing, an engagement, plus a baby or two. While all of this is taking place, keep in mind I am packing and preparing for my final year at Kutztown. My life is a bit chaotic right now. I'll be sure to share the rest of the seniors and other sessions once they're all finished. For now, here's a bit of Kayla and baby Norah.

Stay tuned for some photos of the AWESOME handmade baby accessories I received from the duchess of design. Too cute for words...

This afternoon was rather difficult to get through. My cat, Jessie, had to be put down. She hadn't eaten in a few days and became very weak. Being that she was over 16 years old, this is basically what is expected. However, that doesn't make it any easier.

Now, she may have been "my" cat, but she was never a fan of me. She took a much stronger liking to my Dad. He was the "big cat" as my Mom always said. He has a very string bond with all of our feline friends. Jessie, she was kind of a mean cat, to put it honestly. She hissed a lot and never hesitated to pop you with her paw if you so much as annoyed her one bit. She successfully scared away my brother's border collie this Christmas. Keep in mind, he's 10 times her size. Never the less, she was rather intimidating. Over the past week, her intimidation level plummeted, and for the first time in years, we sort of became friends. Though this may have been due to the fact that she was too weak to bite me, I still enjoyed it.

I never thought it would be so sad to say goodbye to cat. I knew putting her down would be best and she no longer would suffer, but it's more difficult than one would think. To watch your father tear up upon saying his goodbyes and then drive away with your cat and return without her is rather heartbreaking.

According to my Dad, she fought to the end. She was hissing and carrying on at the vets and very angry with the barking dogs. I expected nothing less. That has been her personality for as long as I can remember.

I am comforted in knowing that she is safe in kitty heaven with lots of other cats to fight with, and of course lots of sinks to drink the dripping water from, but she will still be missed. I am so used to telling people I have 5 cats. 4 may seem a little less "crazy cat lady ish," but it doesn't seem right.

Rest in peace Jessie cat.

I'm just no good at this blogging thing...

So now that it has been an entire month since my last post, I figured its time to update. Over the last 4 weeks, lots of wedding photos, senior photos, and my first ever maternity shoot have been edited. There will be many more to come hopefully, but these are a few tidbits of what I'v been busy with...

I was lucky enough to have a maternity session with Abbey and Steve before little Owynn arrived. I can't wait to have a session with the little girly soon. Considering this was my first ever maternity shoot, I was ecstatic with how the images turned out. Take a look...

The Hairston Wedding was simple but so much fun! LOVED their cake!

The 4th of July wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Heiple was so beautiful. Again, and very simple and small ceremony, the details were gorgeous!

I went a little nuts with the rings...

Now Jenna, she has to be my favorite senior so far. I am totally in love with her images...

 She is wayyyy too gorgeous!

 ok last one, I promise.

I am so excited to be booking more seniors everyday. August if going to be full of senior sessions, and I can't wait. One more thing. All you seniors out there, DON'T miss out on the 12 hour sale. Mark your calendars for August 1st! You don't wanna pass up on this deal...

I need to get better at updating more frequently...

Here's a little something I have found on several other photographer's sites. I posted it on our facebook page, but it is definitely worth posting on here as well:
That, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why I stress to purchase prints/albums/etc. FROM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. We know how to give you the best quality for your money. Not to mention having a not-so-professional print of one of our professional pictures is a bad reflection of our work. Stick with the professional and safe route and you won't be sorry. :)

In other news, I'll be traveling to Bensalem, PA for the weekend to shoot my very first completely solo wedding, as visit my college roommate and long-time friend for a family portrait session. I am so very anxious for both of these sessions, as well as catching up with some of my favorite people.

That's all for now. I'll be checking back with previews of this weekend's shoots, as well as some awesome underwater shots which are currently being edited. Check out some new stuff on the WEBSITE in the mean time...

Check out what I've been up to lately...

About a week ago I had the privilege of being career shadowed for the first time by middle schooler, Leah. I got some gorgeous shots of Lauren during this shoot!

Another Congratulations to Alecia and Tyler! Their engagement session was a blast!

I am now the proud owner of this beautiful camera bag! Best 21st birthday present ever! Every female photographer should have one. I LOVE it!

Just a reminder...it's senior picture season yet again! Book your session now before my schedule fills up!

Whew! I've been ridiculously busy lately. Between trying to keep up with school as finals week approaches, and keeping my wonderful clients happy, it's been quite a task. Here's a little taste of what I've been up to!

Engagement session with my own brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law:

Spent some time shooting a happy little fella, Douglas:

I had the honor of second shooting and assisting at a beautiful April wedding for Amanda Kraft Photography:

But of course there was still time for a fun shoot with some friends and my wonderful boyfriend:

Needless to say, I've been a busy bee. Stay tuned for some fun shots from Alecia and Tyler's Engagement Session!

It's that time again!

Spring has finally arrived, and I am anxious to begin scheduling some 2012 Seniors! Contact me to make an appointment today! Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying the sunshine!

:)

Yep, I caved.

It's true. I have finally given in and joined the blog world. I figured this may be much easier to update than my website (which has been ignored for a while) and better yet, its FREE. Us poor college students love that word. This will also be an opportunity to organize myself and my work more efficiently.

At the moment, I am back home in Lancaster for Spring Break. I've been keeping busy with editing for class projects, as well as some new shoots I have booked for this week. I'm looking forward to my shoot with baby Doug tomorrow morning, as well as the engagement shoot for my own brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law on Sunday!

Lots to do!

Meanwhile, enjoy this precious little lady that I have finally had time to start editing!
