Engaged! {Shannon&Wes}

Monday, June 18, 2012

A few weeks ago I had an engagement session with this lovely couple. We started out at Longwood Gardens and ended up down the road at Kreutz Creek Vineyard. Despite the heat, it was so much fun! I have heard tons about Shannon (our mothers work together) so it was so nice to finally meet her, and of course Wes too. They are just too fun! They compliment each other absolutely perfectly! Wes is quite a jokester and always keeps Shannon smiling and laughing. Their relationship makes for some pretty darn adorable photos. See for yourself.

The Light in the Dark

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Okay, so a few days ago I have the privilege of experiencing one of the coolest art exhibitions ever! I am referring to the current Light Installation by Bruce Munro at Longwood Gardens. Being that I just earned an art degree, I am typically pretty burnt out from these types of things, but this was such a breath of fresh air and I completely loved it! It was also something everyone could enjoy, not just someone with an art background. All ages too! I highly recommend going to check it out while you still have the chance. Totally awesome! Now I will wrap this up and let the pictures speak for themselves. They don't even do it justice.

One more thing. Speaking of Longwood, keep an eye out for Shannon and Wes's Engagement session (which was shot there) to hit the blog soon! Some of my favorite images to date! :)

I'm Baaaaack!

Monday, June 11, 2012

Oye. After months and months of inactivity, I have made it a personal goal to start blogging much more regularly. I know, I know, I've said this many times before, but this time I mean it. Anyway, UPDATE:

I am now officially a graduate of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Whooo! Look out people, I have a degree!

Now that I have my BFA in photography under my wing, it is now time to get business really going (hopefully). So far so good. I have had several engagement sessions this month, as well as dance recital, a family, and now a baby this week! Whew! I am keeping up the best that I can and I am so so so thankful to be busy for now. Fingers crossed that it stays this way. Spread the word!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting engagement photos for such a sweet couple. Elisabeth and Tim are truly a pleasure to work with, not to mention SO genuinely in love! They live across the river from Lancaster, in York County, so they chose a location I had never used before, Samuel S. Lewis State Park. I LOVED it! There are some gorgeous views looking over the river and even a meadow (everyone knows my obsession with meadows). There was never a shortage of beautiful scenery. Needless to say I got some adorable images out of that morning. I am beyond excited to be shooting their wedding next May!
